SOLD...I'll still keep this up if anyone is looking for some info. Hello, What I have to offer for sale is my 1999 Buell X1 Lightning blue and white racing stripe Limited Edition. 400 Made. (EFI) Electronic Fuel injected. This motorcycle is in excellent condition. New Metzler tires front and rear were put on over the summer with not that many miles put on them. Still has the original Buell grips which are in excellent condition. Billet aluminum foot pegs only found on the X1 Limited editions. All other X1's came with the rubber one. I put a custom made seat cowl on and had it painted to match the tank. It looks great! It's held on by a strap. Nothing permanent and can be taking off. If you like you can easily take it off for a passenger. The paint on the bike is all original. This bike was never dropped or laid down. Original Buell tool kit stored under the seat. Rare Buell Battery cover and Buell Electric fan installed as seen in pics. The only time I ever hear this turn on is when I get home from work and park it. A few minutes later it turns on to cool the motor. The rims/wheels are Buell original PM polished aluminum. Vance and Hines slip-on exhaust with original Buell header. After putting the Slip-on on I installed a Buell race ECM. This bike runs great. It is adult owned and well taken care of. I mainly just rode this back and forth to work. It gets around 55mpg. A universal mounting hardware kit comes in the box with each motor to replace older models. Do not attempt to buy a new unit and pull the motor out; the mounting has changed. The conduit (flexible cable) can be used from your previous motor simply by un-screwing it and putting it on your new motor. Lomanco motor comes with Universal mounting kit to replace the flat plate (with 3 mounting holes). Lomanco motor does not have the flat plate sandwiched in between motor laminations. If your motor mounts with a belly band around the motor (5" Diameter motor), this motor should work fine. MOLINE, Illinois (December 14, 2010) — Deere & Company said today that it plans to build a new factory in China to manufacture construction equipment for sale in China and for export to other markets. The facility represents an investment of approximately $50 million. The new factory will produce four-wheel-drive loaders and excavators and will be located in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA). The facility will be Deere's sixth manufacturing location in China, two of which are joint ventures."This new factory will enhance our opportunity to serve Chinese customers as well as customers in other markets," said Samuel R. Allen, chairman and chief executive officer. "This action represents a meaningful expansion of Deere's construction equipment division in China."China is considered the world's largest and fastest growing market for construction equipment. Allen said that Deere's commitment to doing business in China dates back more than 30 years. John Deere's long history in the country was mainly in the agricultural equipment sector until 2008, when Deere invested in a construction equipment joint venture to build excavators."Deere continues to pursue opportunities to grow around the world," Allen said. The Institute for Supply Management’s factory index rose to 57 from 56.6 the prior month, according to the median estimate of 57 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News. Readings greater than 50 signal growth. A separate report may show construction spending increased 0.2 percent in November. Factory production that was driven by inventory rebuilding at the start of the recovery may now be getting more of a boost from increased spending by American consumers and companies. The national figures follow recent regional data that showed manufacturing will remain a mainstay of the world’s largest economy. “We could see further strengthening in the manufacturing numbers for December,” said Conrad DeQuadros, a senior economist at RDQ Economics LLC in New York. “Manufacturing growth is being driven by a pickup in domestic demand rather than just inventory replenishment. It’s suggestive of a more sustainable recovery.” The Tempe, Arizona-based ISM’s report is due at 10 a.m. New York time. Estimates in the Bloomberg survey ranged from 55 to 60. Also at 10 a.m., the Commerce Department will release data on construction spending. Projections in the Bloomberg survey ranged from a drop of 0.8 percent to a gain of 0.7 percent, following a 0.7 percent increase in October. Regional Manufacturing Recent regional factory reports underscore the resilience of manufacturing at year-end. The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia said Dec. 16 that factories in the region expanded in December at the fastest pace since April 2005. ISM-Chicago data on Dec. 30 showed businesses grew at the quickest pace in two decades. The strength in manufacturing has been reflected in higher share prices. The Standard & Poor’s Supercomposite Industrial Machinery Index, which includes Caterpillar Inc. and Deere & Co., jumped 47 percent last year, compared with a 13 percent increase in the broader S&P 500. Jabil Circuit Inc., which provides manufacturing services, is one company benefiting from stronger emerging economies such as China and India. St. Petersburg, Florida-based Jabil said Dec. 20 that its revenue rose $4.1 billion in the three months ended Nov. 30, up from $3.1 billion a year earlier. “At this point, in terms of U.S. spending, enterprise spending looks stable,” Timothy Main, chief executive officer of Jabil, said on a teleconference with analysts on Dec. 20. “International spending looks very strong and other areas of enterprise infrastructure are pretty robust.” Increased Exports The manufacturing industry, which accounts for about 11 percent of the economy, led the recovery from the worst recession since the 1930s as businesses rebuilt stockpiles they’d slashed during the slump. MOLINE, Illinois (December 10, 2010) — Deere & Company said today that it has completed the sale of John Deere Renewables LLC, its wind energy business, to Exelon Generation Company, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Exelon Corporation. In August, Deere announced the two companies had signed a definitive agreement for the transaction. The sale was by Rich and Rich Auctioneers International, Inc. A new record high auction sale price was realized with the buyer coming from Canada.
It sold for $23,250.

Deere is donating a tractor to the city of Ipswich, which is in the Australian state of Queensland. Queen Elizabeth also has contributed to the effort to bail out Northeast Australia, which has suffered from flooding since late December. Despite the generosity, the struggle is not expected to let up for several months as the rainy season runs through late March.
Deere and the queen are part of a growing collection of companies, performers, poets and athletes who have donated in some way to the Australian state's efforts to cope with and bounce back from the natural disaster.
Bob Dylan, Kenny Rogers, Sting, Bon Jovi, Beyonce, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters are among the performers singing on a three-disc, 59-track benefit album. Called Flood Relief - Artists for the Flood Appeal, the album is produced by Sony.

Samuel R. Allen, chairman and chief executive officer of John Deere, recently stated that the equipment-maker strives to satisfy customers' needs worldwide. To this end, the company will construct an engine factory in China whose products will be used to outfit its agricultural equipment.
"This engine factory will allow John Deere to deliver increased technology for China customers while leveraging enterprise investments and engineering resources in China," Allen said.
Deere will invest around $60 million in the plant set to be located in the Tianjin area, where the firm already operates other factories. The estimated date for the start of production at the facility is the end of 2013.
This engine factory is Deere's sixth strategically placed production location throughout the globe: North America, South America, Europe and Asia all have at least one. These facilities help supply Deere's operations that produce agricultural, construction and forestry machinery.

Net income at John Deere & Co. doubled in the first half of this year compared with the same time last year. And that’s good news for more than just Deere.
“When farmers buy a $300,000 combine, the people at the factory who build the combine have jobs, the parts supplier has jobs, the truckers who take the stuff up and down the highways have jobs, and I make a living off a farmer,” said Greg Schwartz, who sells agricultural implements at the Heritage Tractor dealership in Baldwin City, Kan.
Even the government’s report last week that the corn crop is likely to be smaller this year sent farm machinery company stocks higher based on the upward push that report gave to corn prices — fostering the expectation that more farm equipment will be bought.
Schwartz is careful to note that the high crop prices pumping up farm income are balanced by high expenses.
“Farmers’ costs are incredibly high and keep going up,” he said. “Record prices on the commodities board means the price of a bag of seed corn goes up, along with the price of fertilizers and chemicals and the fuel the farmer needs to put in that combine in the field.”
A bag of seed corn costs more than $200 to plant about four acres, he noted.
But the good news on the sale side is that a bushel of corn is up to about $7.50 from $4 a year ago.
Overall, net farm income is expected to be about 20 percent higher in 2011 than 2010, said Jason Henderson, economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Omaha, Neb., branch.
“The row crop side — corn, wheat, beans and cotton — will lead most of the gains, but cattle and hog producers are returning to profitability,” Henderson said. “That translates into more jobs on the farms and ranches, and it fosters increases in hours worked and wage rates in the food processing companies.”
Henderson also noted that farmland values are up. At a time when housing prices have slumped or stagnated, farm acreage is selling at up to 20 percent higher than last year in some markets, with institutional investors as well as farmers buying.
“An indirect effect is that improves farmers’ balance sheets, and that makes it easier to get loans,” said Tom Jackson, a regional economist with IHS Global Insight. Farming, he noted, is a “very credit-driven industry.”
Another big plus for the farm economy is higher export demand, especially from China. In addition to row crops, pork, particularly, is a rising export.
Rising domestic demand and global demand are fueling a need for bioscience experts to help improve crop yields.
The health of the farm economy — unlike the economy at large — isn’t as tied to employment or unemployment statistics, simply because the demand for labor is relatively small.
Still, employment in the agricultural sector rose 1.83 percent from March 2010 to March 2011 — a healthy sign compared with a barely perceptible gain of 0.69 percent in the non-farm sector, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
And more job growth is expected.
“In the past five years we hired 4,000 people, and we expect to add another 4,000 in the next five years,” said Randy Minton, business director for Pioneer Hi-Bred International, a seed and crop protection company. “We need more genetics researchers, more plant breeders, more agronomic sales and marketing folk.”
Pioneer, among other agricultural research companies, is recruiting deep into college agricultural programs — especially, Minton said, at about 30 land grant universities such as Kansas State, Iowa State, Nebraska and Missouri.
“Worldwide, people are eating better, demanding more protein in their diets,” Minton said. “It’s a very small population of farmers that will actually meet the global demand for food for people, the feed for animals and the bio materials needed.”
The United States is the world’s largest exporter of corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton and sorghum. This year, the forecast calls for about 13.3 percent of the corn crop and 51.4 percent of the wheat crop to be exported.
There’s a flip side to higher crop prices, though, that’s hitting livestock and dairy producers who are coping with higher feed costs. And that flip side also affects consumers, who are paying more in the grocery store.
But when the crops are good and prices rise, it allows farmers to invest in the equipment that bolsters productivity.
“Machines are doing the work, so even when farms expand, the requirement for men per acre is down,” said David Lambert, an agricultural economist at Kansas State University.
“Driving a combine is not labor-intensive, so there isn’t an explosion in jobs. Lots of people have been pulled or pushed off the land because of mechanization.”
Jackson left his family farm in western Ohio to hold a desk job as an economist.
But the farm is prospering without his contribution of daily labor.
“My family farm hasn’t gotten bigger. It’s still pretty much my brother and my dad,” Jackson said. “But the equipment has gotten bigger. Seed and fertilizer growth has increased productivity. Crop prices are up. So, yes, things are doing well back home.”
Will that kind of farm prosperity last?
Those who remember the farm foreclosure crises of the 1980s say some downturn — perhaps a 20 percent drop in corn prices — is expected, but there are big differences from a generation ago. Then, rising land values and low interest rates motivated many farmers to go into debt to expand on the assumption that commodity prices would continue to rise.
But the farmland bubble burst, overproduction sent prices lower, and a grain embargo limited exports, causing ripple effects in banking and industry as farms failed.
“The difference today is that farmers haven’t piled up debt,” said Henderson, the Fed economist. “Their debt-to-asset ratio is at a near-historic low. Even if there’s a correction in values, farmers have a lot of wealth in equity, enough to withstand correction.”

The 44-year-old finished with two birdies to card a 69 and move onto 22-under-par, narrowly defeating rookie Kyle Stanley.
Canadian Matt McQuillan and world number 33 Zach Johnson were four strokes behind the 23-year-old Stanley, tied for third position on 17-under-par.
Stricker, who has claimed 19 tournament wins since turning pro in 1990, is only the 10th post-war golfer to have triumphed at the same event three years running.

Deere to Add Construction Equipment Factories in Brazil

MOLINE, Illinois (October 3, 2011) – Deere & Company (NYSE: DE) said today that it plans to build two new factories in Brazil to meet growing market demand for its construction equipment products in Brazil and other South American countries. The total investment is approximately $180 million with Deere investing approximately $124 million of the total.
"Brazil is one of the world's fastest-growing markets for construction equipment," said Samuel R. Allen, chairman and chief executive officer of Deere & Company. "Today's announcement represents another step in our strategy to serve construction equipment customers in key markets around the world."
Deere plans to build both factories in Indaiatuba, Sao Paulo. One factory will be solely owned by Deere to manufacture backhoe loaders and four-wheel-drive loaders while Deere will partner with Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. on a second factory to manufacture excavators.
Michael Mack, president of Deere's Worldwide Construction & Forestry Division, said, "There are significant opportunities to serve customers with Deere construction equipment in this region of the world. We believe Deere can gain momentum by leveraging the considerable assets and capabilities that Deere has already established in the region."
"Over the long term, Brazil has sustained a positive business environment. In addition, the country wants to significantly enhance its infrastructure," Mack added. "This provides us confidence that we can expand our construction equipment business through these investments."
According to Michijiro Kikawa, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., "Ever since our formal joint venture partnership began in 1988, Hitachi has worked exclusively with John Deere in the Americas to establish a leading presence in the very important hydraulic excavator market. This new joint venture is focused specifically on Brazil and allows both Hitachi and John Deere to expand their strong relationship into this exciting long-term growth opportunity."
The product line manufactured in Brazil will be supplemented with imports from other factories, Deere said, and the company plans to also establish a distribution network to sell and service the equipment similar to the well-respected dealer organization for John Deere agricultural equipment in Brazil.
Deere already has a strong presence in Brazil serving the agricultural and forestry equipment markets with three manufacturing facilities, a parts distribution center for South America, a bank operated by John Deere Financial Services, and a facility for John Deere Water, which is one of the world's largest irrigation companies.
Deere expects equipment built in the new manufacturing facilities to meet the level of domestic content required of the Special Agency of Industrial Financing. The workforce at the factories could exceed 600 employees depending on market demand for products. Additional indirect jobs will also be added by suppliers and other companies that provide services to the factories.
"John Deere is investing more than $3 million (U.S.) each day in research and development of new products and services," Mack said. "This investment results in Deere offering productivity-enhancing technology to customers. Our new factories provide us an opportunity to bring this technology to customers in Brazil."
Construction of the factories is expected to begin in early 2012 with product manufacturing to start in late 2013. Deere and Hitachi already have a joint venture in the U.S. to manufacture excavators. In addition, the two companies have a marketing agreement in the Americas. Deere & Company had sales and revenues of approximately US$26 billion in its 2010 fiscal year.
